Day 1 | Airport > Negombo
Drive: Approx. 25 minutes

Arrive in Colombo, where you’ll be greeted by your chauffeur guide and transferred to Negombo. This coastal town offers a tranquil introduction to Sri Lanka with its golden beaches and colonial charm. You’ll visit the Dutch Fort, a historic reminder of the area’s colonial past, and enjoy a peaceful boat ride through the Negombo Lagoon, where local fishermen ply their trade.

Day 2 | Negombo > Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage > Dambulla Cave Temple > Sigiriya
Drive: Approx. 4 hours

Today, you’ll journey inland to Sigiriya. Along the way, you’ll experience Sri Lanka’s natural and cultural treasures, including the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can observe elephants being bathed and fed. The next stop is the Dambulla Cave Temple, home to hundreds of Buddha statues and vibrant frescoes. Afterward, you’ll take part in a traditional Sigiriya Village Tour, where you’ll enjoy a bullock cart ride through paddy fields, giving you a true sense of local life.

Day 3 | Sigiriya Rock Fortress > Pidurangala Rock > Polonnaruwa Ancient City > Gal Vihara

Begin the day with a visit to the majestic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The climb rewards you with breathtaking views and ancient frescoes. You’ll also visit Pidurangala Rock, which provides a quieter and equally impressive view of Sigiriya. Afterward, you’ll explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, a former capital of Sri Lanka, filled with impressive ruins and statues. The Gal Vihara rock carvings are particularly noteworthy for their serene Buddha statues.

Day 4 | Sigiriya > Matale Spice Garden > Kandy
Drive: Approx. 3 hours

As you travel to Kandy, the cultural heart of Sri Lanka, you’ll visit the Matale Spice Garden, where you’ll learn about the various spices that define Sri Lankan cuisine. In Kandy, you’ll visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which houses a sacred relic of Lord Buddha’s tooth, one of the holiest sites in Sri Lanka. Later, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Kandy Lake before witnessing a vibrant Kandyan Dance Performance, showcasing traditional music and dance

Day 5 | Kandy > Royal Botanical Gardens > Nuwara Eliya 
Drive: Approx. 2.5 hours

After breakfast, travel through the lush hill country towards Nuwara Eliya, also known as "Little England" for its cool climate and colonial charm. En route, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Kandy, where you can explore an impressive collection of tropical plants and orchids. After your visit, continue the journey to Nuwara Eliya. Upon arrival, stop at a Tea Plantation & Factory to learn about the tea-making process and sample freshly brewed Ceylon tea. As you explore Nuwara Eliya, don’t miss the Ramboda Falls, a stunning waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Later, enjoy a peaceful stroll around Gregory Lake and take in the scenic beauty of Victoria Park.

Day 6 | Nuwara Eliya > Nine Arches Bridge > Yala > Yala National Park
Drive: Approx. 5 hours

On the 6th day your journey takes you south to Yala National Park, renowned for its wildlife and stunning landscapes. On your way, stop to marvel at the Nine Arches Bridge in Ella, an iconic piece of railway engineering surrounded by lush greenery. Once in Yala, prepare for an exciting safari, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot leopards, elephants, and a variety of birds in their natural habitat.

Day 7 | Yala > Galle Fort > Stilt Fishermen of Koggala > Colombo Airport (Departure)
Drive: Approx. 6 hours

On your final day, journey to the historic city of Galle. Explore the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, where you can stroll through colonial streets, visit the old lighthouse, and enjoy views of the Indian Ocean. On the way out of Galle, stop at Koggala to witness the fascinating tradition of stilt fishing, where fishermen balance on tall stilts in the shallows. Afterward, enjoy some shopping in Colombo before heading to the airport.
